Position SummarySURVICE Engineering is seeking an IT Support Specialist to provide overall software and hardware support to our growing Applied Technology Operation, located in Churchville, MD.
Will work collaboratively with the company IT Manager, and other appropriate resources to ensure desktop system continuity and efficiency.
Primary Duties & ResponsibilitiesProvide technical support to internal and external usersConfigure, deploy, and maintain Linux serversProvide Linux/Windows/Mac desktop and laptop supportInstall, update, and maintain various software applicationsEnsure compliance with various regulations and requirementsTest and troubleshoot user reported problems in order to analyze and isolate issuesMaintain LAN, IP phones, and related peripherals (printers, etc.
)Manage IT and office supplies inventoryProvide server maintenance and workstation support for deep learning servers and pending Maritime R effortsPotential support to cloud-based logistic server R taskProvide laptop and desktop configuration support and rolloutQualificationsBachelors degree and 2
years of directly relevant work experience.
Additional related work experience will be considered in lieu of the bachelors degree.
Industry Certifications (A+, Network+, Security+, or related technical credentials)Excellent organization and communication skills (written and verbal), and the ability to work with minimal supervision requiredExcellent time management and documentation skillsExperience with networking/firewall equipmentLinux and Windows server administration experience preferredPrevious helpdesk and AWS/Azure server support experience preferredSecurity Clearance RequirementMust be able to obtain and maintain DoD security clearance.
