Job Summary:

The Controller is responsible for directing and managing the fiscal functions of the corporation in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles and other regulatory and advisor organizations.?


  • Responsible for the planning and development of the organization?s financial functions

  • Provide strategic financial input and leadership on decision making issues affecting the financial performance of the company

  • Optimize banking relationships with current bank partner and evaluate other banking relationships as they pertain to lines of credit, advance notes and equipment financing.

  • Develop a daily cash flow projection process and reporting mechanism that includes meeting the daily operational needs of the company

  • Evaluate and advise on the impact of long range planning

  • Prepare presentation for annual Board of Directors meeting

  • Provide timely and accurate analysis of financial projections, and trends to assist the President and Vice President in making sound business decisions

  • Participate with department heads and managers on financial matters affecting their departments

  • Evaluate and advise on any contracts into which the company may enter

  • Review and implement cost control measures if necessary

  • Protects the company?s assets and value by maintaining strict confidentiality with financial information and performance

  • Establish strong working relationship with outside accounting firm since they conduct annual audit, provide strategic planning of the company, interpret financial decisions as they pertain to GAAP, as well as handle all tax matters

  • Continue to evaluate and improve the finance team?s performance and recommend improvements?

  • Review and approve monthly and annual financial reports and disseminate to bank and accounting firm

  • Review and approve audited financial statements

  • Financial projections with bank covenants, P&L, Sales, and EBITDA

  • Manage all finance positions in the company including but not limited to, Accounting Manager, Accounts Receivable/Accounts Payable Coordinator

  • Other Duties as assigned or directed

  • 8 years related work experience as Controller in a manufacturing environment

  • BA/BS in Finance, Business, or related required. MBA preferred

  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office

  • Implementation and working knowledge of ERP system helpful

  • A hands-on manager with integrity and a desire to work in a dynamic environment

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
