Senior Sales Engineer

As a Senior Sales Engineer in Gemalto Identity & Data Protection in the AMER region, you'll work with some of the worlds' best and most innovative products in the IDP space. This newly created and high-profile position works together with the regional Pre-Sales teams to act as a senior technical lead on complex data protection and security implementations with high-potential, large or strategic customers. In this position, you will provide expert product and technical knowledge to assist the Sales team with understanding a prospect's business and technical need for data protection, their systems and architecture demands and then be able to translate that into an innovative and creative data protection solution built around Gemalto's market-leading products. The position offers the potential for travel throughout the GA, NC and FL sales region. A week in the life of a Sales Engineer: o You will work closely with our prospects to gather information on their user-case, application environment and data flows. o You will provide sample code or some customization to meet the prospects needs with our flexible solutions. o You will provide architect solutions with the Gemalto Data Protection portfolio. o You will lead (and be actively involved in) the Proof of Concept of the Sales engagement. o You will be involved in the handover to the Professional Service team who will integrate the solution to the customer's production environment.   Knowledge, Skills and Experience: o To do this job you must have: the ambitious to work together with our existing Pre-Sales team to bring expertise and solution architect/design skills to our most prestigious, large scale and complex opportunities. o You must be fluent in English. o Skills in presenting to both management (C-level) and technical personnel (DBAs, Developers, IT architects, etc.) with excellent verbal and objection-handling skills. o We would like someone to join our team who has strong knowledge of technical and innovative solutions including: - Experience with databases, DBMS systems (MS-SQL, Oracle, DB2, Teradata, Cassandra), - Enterprise virtualized cloud computing environments (AWS, Azure and VMWare), - Concepts of Cryptography, Security, PKI, Two factor authentication, Access management (logical / physical) Data Protection/Security. - Knowledge of Data Protection systems including Hardware Security Modules and/or Enterprise Key Management and how applications integrate with these systems. o You need to have a Bachelor degree in Computer Science/Information Service or related field or equivalent work experience is required. o We are looking for someone with 8+ years' experience in customer-facing pre-sales capacity in Information Security or a related field. o Additional Requirements (beneficial, not mandatory) - software/database development; SQL scripting, XML, Python, Java, .Net, C/C++, - Knowledge of web application development and the use of SOAP and REST standards - Familiarity with KMIP protocol and application integrations via KMIP - Familiarity with the concept of Data Tokenization - Familiarity with storage systems and awareness of SAN, NAS, NFS, CIFS, Windows Cluster, DFS, ONTAP, etc. - Familiar with Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) environments and technologies - Experience with SIEM tools - Knowledge of networking principles and protocols - Holder of a current security or professional certification such as CISSP, OCA, OCP, ICCP CBIP/CDMP, etc. 18002030

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
