Perform all machine shop operation such as, but not limited to, lathe work, drilling, grinding, milling, shaping and hand tool work. Repair and overhaul factory equipment. Design and build manufacturing equipment as needed. Duties could include welding, brazing, and carpentry. This position is an hourly non-exempt position, subject to overtime, and reports to Technical Director of Litho.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
1. Operate lathes, milling machines, grinders, drill press, and other shop equipment.
2. Proper use of all precision measuring devices, such as micrometers, verniers, and others
as required.
3. Make machine parts to within one half-thousandth of an inch.
4. Make mechanical drawings as required of parts to be made and of existing parts.
5. Trouble-shoot equipment in the plant.
6. Repair and overhaul of all equipment in the Litho dept.
7. Calculate, through mathematics, the proper equipment that is required, such as gears,
pulleys, belts, air lines, etc.
8. Install new equipment in the plant. This would include learning the operation,
maintenance, adjustments, and repairs of new equipment.
9. Able to study blueprints, sketches, drawings, manuals, specifications, and sample parts
to determine dimensions and tolerance of finished work piece to assure the needs of
production and customers.
10.Develop specifications from general descriptions and draw sketches of parts or products.
11. Assist Production Managers in the development of new tooling, and new systems,
12. Assist in the maintenance and up-keep of all machine shop equipment; make recommendations to management for replacement or upgrade of shop
13. Assist and training of other personnel in machine shop and maintenance in proper procedures.
14. Stay up to date on current machining and production technologies and recommend these technologies to management.
15. To use and help establish safe use of machinery in the machine shop and in the plant. Recommend procedures to management.
16. Operate all machine shop equipment to fabricate all assigned duties.
17. Assist in trouble-shooting equipment in plant.
18. To be knowledgeable of all presses. To have ability to set-up, adjust, repair, operate and maintain equipment.
19. Check quality of products and to take procedures to correct quality problems.
20. Must follow proper handling, storage, and disposal of hazardous waste in accordance
with State and Federal laws.
21. Travel is required as needed for this position.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: High School Diploma or general education degree (GED); or three to six months related experience and/or training with completion of journeyman training for die setter/press mechanic and machinist apprenticeship as required by company or similar training as received elsewhere; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
