Summary: This position provides strategic leadership and management of the Manufacturing, Engineering, Maintenance, and Process Engineering functions to accomplish business objectives. This position serves as the principal leader of all aspects of global manufacturing (internal and contract), engineering, and maintenance operations to include long and short-range planning, metrics, policies, and initiatives which support the strategic objectives of the company. Ensures products are manufactured on-schedule, within quality and safety standards and cost objectives.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:

Responsible for the development and implementation of the local and global manufacturing, engineering and maintenance strategic objectives including the development of the short and long range capital plans, management of key projects within these operations and ensuring projects are executed from concept to implementation.

Leads and champions global manufacturing, engineering, and maintenance operations and teams in support of maintaining and improving the Company's reputation and brand identity, with a focus on risk mitigation and continual improvement.

Establish high operational standards and procedures to include the development, implementation, and maintenance of manufacturing methods to improve and maintain the company's competitive position and operational profitability.

Accountable for the development of, and adherence to, an annual global manufacturing, engineering and maintenance budget. Make budget recommendations on capital expenditures and labor.

Serves as a member of the Sr. Management team; collaborates effectively with the management team to problem-solve, support, protect and grow the business as a whole.

Fully support the overall direction of all safety initiatives for the organization as implemented by Safety Manager. Follows all company safety rules while performing job duties and is responsible for ensuring that all employees follow all company policies and procedures, including safety rules, PPE requirements, and GMP's.


7. Collaborate with Director, Q&R and Safety Manger to ensure compliance with MOSHA, FDA, and other federal and state guidelines related to safety and health regulations as they apply to internal and external (contract
manufacturers) operations. Ensure compliance with international guidelines.

Ensure global production capacity exceeds forecast demand by at least 20%. Recommends capital expansions or engages contract manufacturing to address the gap if necessary.

Aid in the commission of all new process equipment and/or programs. Ensure that timely and effective training is given to operators following the installation of or major upgrade of any equipment.

Responds to internal and external audit findings and address CAR's as necessary.

Create and/or modify management systems and documents as it pertains to manufacturing.

Assures continued relevancy of the manufacturing/engineering/maintenance functions by staying abreast of current trends, benchmark practices, and technological advances through continued education, professional organizations, and attendance at relevant trade shows.



EDUCATION and
Experience:
B. S. degree required in engineering field. M.S. degree preferred. 10
years of experience in a food manufacturing industry required. Minimum of ten years of related supervisory/managerial experience required. Strong technical skills required in areas such as Lean Manufacturing techniques, Kaizen, Process Improvement, freight and distribution and materials management.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
