Engineering Manager

The Engineering Manager is responsible for the analysis, design, implementation, optimization and enhancement of the manufacturing facility. This position will oversee and guide the work of the engineering department, managing the day-to-day operations of engineering projects and interfacing with other departments as needed.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
Develop and implement optimal, cost-effective manufacturing processes, methods and equipment in accordance with product specifications and quality standards

Recommend and implement improvements to production processes, methods and controls; confers with management, engineering and other depts. regarding manufacturing capabilities, production schedules, and other considerations to maximize efficiencies

Supervise, lead, direct, support and provide development for the Engineering Department, consisting of, but not limited to, the Principal engineer, Sr. and Jr. Mechanical engineers, the Sr. Process engineer and the Facilities Manager.

Design and manage electrical software issues from design, installation and project completion

Write specifications for electrical and mechanical issues

Communicate through sketches, diagrams, spreadsheets in such a way that groups of different skill levels can understand and agree on a course of action

Design and draw simple mechanical parts in AutoCAD

Create and update engineering documents, P&ID, electrical drawings, tag sheets in various software applications

Investigate, prepare and present technical and budgetary proposals as well as project reports

Supervise the installation and commission of new equipment







Assist in project scheduling and costing

Support the Maintenance Function through training, development of improved parts and procedures, improvement of Preventative Maintenance tasks and training, using the Maintenance Software (MP2)

Follow all company safety rules in performing job duties.

Perform other duties as assigned.

SUPERVISORY
Responsibilities:
Directly supervises the Engineering and Maintenance Departments, including the Facilities Manager. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Supervisory responsibilities include, but are not limited to, hiring and training employees, planning, assigning and directing work, appraising performance, rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. Uses own initiative and exercises independent judgment.

EDUCATION and/or
Experience: B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering. 8-10 years of experience in both mechanical and electrical capacities, or a combination of education and experience.

PLANNING: Must possess an ability to think ahead and plan over a 3-6 month time span.

SPECIAL SKILLS and ABILITIES: Must be computer proficient (Microsoft Word/
Excel/Outlook/Microsoft Project). Knowledge of PLC programming and ladder diagrams, Wonderware software package, Visio, AutoCAD and Access preferred

This facility operates 24 hours per day, 7 days per week. This position requires that the person be available for question via phone or to return to the facility during major issues. Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
