Responsibilities
Our Lifoam Controller is responsible for all aspects of plant financial management, planning, reporting, systems, and controls to accurately reflect the financial position of assigned locations. The Controller provides leadership and analysis of opportunities for cost savings, along with system improvements.
Initial responsibilities will include transitioning Lifoam to SAP.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Prepare, maintain and analyze product standard cost including cost roll over in the system
2. Manage the timely completion of the month-end financial close
3. Prepare post closing plant financial analysis, performance reports and meaningful commentary including detail manufacturing variance analysis. Review results monthly with plant and business management.
4. Demonstrate awareness of all elements of a plant s financial statements
5. Partner with plant management to increase plant efficiency and profitability
6. Prepare analysis to understand the financial ramifications of current and proposed business actions
7. Identify issues and proactively initiate analyses / solutions to plant issues and raise the flag when margins are at risk
8. Plan and oversee annual physical count of inventory. Implement strong cycle counting system and controls, ensure inventory related reconciliations are performed timely.
9. Lead Sarbanes Oxley control oversight and compliance
10. Track cost reduction projects and maintain required reporting
11. Evaluate and provide financial analysis for capital appropriation requests.
12. Prepare and coordinate the annual budget at the plant level
13. Supervise and develop plant controllers including goal and objective setting and training
14. Ad hoc analysis
Qualifications
Education
Bachelor s Degree in Accounting or Finance
Experience/Knowledge/Skills
1. Minimum 6 years of progressive cost accounting and analysis experience with a major manufacturing organization. Experience with Fortune 500 company preferable.
2. Knowledge of management accounting, cost and inventory accounting, and GAAP.
3. Strong analytical skills are required to quickly grasp issues impacting the plant s financial results.
4. Strong knowledge gained through experience in standard costing.
5. Experience using SAP Inventory and Costing module.
6. Integration / acquisition experience
7. Multinational experience and knowledge of foreign exchange effect on cost
Preferred Experience/Qualifications
1. CPA, CMA, or MBA preferred
2. Experience using Hyperion and SAP preferred
3. Supervisory responsibility

1. Strong IT aptitude to deliver effective desktop reporting (paperless web-enabled environment), utilize business warehouse tools and MS Excel and PowerPoint for analysis and presentations.

9. Ability to effectively develop people and transfer knowledge down into, and across, the financial and manufacturing organizations.
Other Information
Must be able to travel 20-25 percent of work time, visiting and working in a manufacturing environment.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
