Responsibilities:
Our service department is an extension of the Bel Air Auto Auction and not open to the public.
We are looking for someone that is well rounded to not only sell repair work but can order parts and assist our mechanics as needed as well as strategically assign jobs to technicians based on skill level and project schedule.
Assist in maintaining a smooth running, efficient service department with a high degree of customer satisfaction.
Ideal Candidates will have previous experience working in an automotive field or basic knowledge of car functions, automotive services and repairs by ascertaining performance problems and services requested; developing estimates; writing repair orders; maintaining customer rapport and records.
Automotive Service Writer /Advisor Job Duties:
Develops estimates by costing materials, supplies, and labor Prepares repair orders (RO) by describing symptoms, problems, and causes discovered, as well as repairs and services required; obtaining approval signatures.
Maintains automotive records by recording problems and corrective actions planned.
Enhances organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
